Living Legacies of Ventura County presents “Future Legacies” a youth program designed to ease middle school girls in discussing real life issues that are affecting them.  The small, secure group environment will facilitate healthy discussions and experimental learning about various topics & issues that impact these girls daily.  We are looking for girls who are interested in personal growth, connecting with others for learning experiences and willing to participate in a group environment.

Our theme of the evening will be “self-esteem” and “Who do I want to be.”  Group leader is Tristen Vance, Licensed Family Therapist.  This discussion is hinged on individual strengths; meant to increase confidence, individual purpose and promote the importance of friendships; and will provide another means to navigate through this potentially exciting, but often complicated life stage.

Assisting Tristen will be Shelly Ehler, who is a wife, mother, former teacher and inspiration to many with her enthusiasm and energy for life to include her entrepreneurial spirit…she will “share her story” with the girls.
